Mark your calendars for November 13 - 19, 2017 as we celebrate the third annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW).
NAW is a nationwide opportunity for the workforce system and leaders in business, labor, education, and other critical partners to express their support for apprenticeship by showcasing the programs, facilities and apprentices in their community. This week-long series of industry led events is an opportunity to educate youth, educational systems, parents, job seekers, employers, local communities and States across the Country on the significant benefits of apprenticeship in preparing a highly-skilled workforce to meet the talent needs of employers across diverse industries.
Events and activities include: business open houses, skills competitions, community forums, apprentice graduations, high school or college career fairs, apprenticeship signing days, industry roundtable events and more. Check out the NAW 2016 Report for more ideas on how to get involved and visit the NAW website (www.dol.gov/apprenticeship/naw) to register an event or find an event near you. Please help us spread the word during NAW by using #NAW17 and emailing us your proclamations, photos, videos, blogs, and news articles at NAW@dol.gov so we can post them on the NAW website!
